DESCRIPTION: A cluster of bi-convex swellings are found on the both upper and lower surfaces of the hosts leaves and are caused by small mites whom live the cells at the core of the gall. Colours vary from light greens, to reds and browns. Colonisation is so critical at times that a great amount of damage can be caused to the host trees. DISTRIBUTION: Frequent throughout. May to August. HABITAT: On the leaves of Cultivated Pears, Rowan and Mountain Ash.
